Subject	Troubled TT - Should I buy?

Message	Hi, there is a non-running 92 auto TT with salvaged title for sale in my area. His car died on the freeway so I'm assuming it's probably the timing belt and I would expect to find at least bent valves and possibly cracked pistons. The interior looks in nice shape from the pics but I'm not sure what the condition of the frame is since it's a salvage title. He's asking $2500 but I would think he'd go down to get it towed away. Also comes with a manual trans he was thinking about swapping in. [ http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/2107439435.html ] I would do the repairs myself and I like the idea of having a cheap driver I'd feel comfortable running with basic liability insurance. Is this one too far gone? I realize it wouldn't have much value after the repairs due to the title situation. How much should I offer if anything? Thanks
